Trainers, the Crackling Voltage has started and for the first time in Pokemon Go, you will be able to encounter shiny Helioptile.
The Crackling Voltage is a new event introduced in Pokemon Go, in which players can encounter shiny Helioptile and shiny Tapu Koko for the first time. Many Pokemon Go players want to know how to catch shiny Helioptile and where to find it, so worry no more, we got you covered.
Shiny Helioptile can be found in the wild, in Raids as T1 Raid Boss, hatching from 7 km Eggs and by completing specific Field Research tasks. Now, to make it even more interesting, Niantic and Pokemon Go announced that encountering Helioptile in Raids and hatching from Eggs, will have a greater chance of being shiny than Helioptile found in the wild.
What is most important is to never, ever try to get a Shiny Pokemon on an ordinary day. Do it when Pokemon Go has either a Legendary or a Raid Day event. Taking into mind that the odds of getting a Shiny Pokemon are very low, it can, and will take a lot of Raids to get one.
The first 24 hours after a Shiny Pokemon is released are crucial, so during these hours try not to raid, because it is very possible that Niantic may have forgotten to include that Shiny form appearing in Raids. So you might do 100 Raids, and you might not get a Shiny form.
The chance of encountering a shiny Helioptile is approximately 1 in 64.
